Q4 2024: Mainnet Launch and Preparation

On December 10, 2024, we officially launched the Kernel mainnet, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our journey.

• Achieved USD ~50 Mn TVL within a week

• 25+ ecosystem projects working on Kernel

Q1 2025

• Phase 1 (Jan - Feb): DVN + Operator Registration on Testnet

  We will initiate testnet registration for DVNs and Operators, marking the next step in scaling Kernel’s infrastructure.
  
  

• Phase 1.1 (Feb - Mar): Delegations on Testnet
  Launch delegation functionality on the testnet. Onboard the first DVN onto the Kernel testnet to validate the process and infrastructure.
  
  

• Phase 2 (Mar): DVN + Operator Registration on Mainnet
  DVNs and Operators will be able to register directly on the mainnet, bringing us closer to full-scale operations.
  
  

• Phase 3 (Apr): Delegations on Mainnet
  We will launch delegations on the mainnet, enabling users to delegate their assets to operators and DVNs for enhanced participation.

• Phase 4 (Mar - Apr): Onboarding Further DVNs
  Following initial onboarding, we will expand the DVN ecosystem by integrating additional DVNs into the network.

Future Development Horizons

• Phase 5 (May - Jun): Slashing Mechanism
  Kernel will implement a robust slashing mechanism to enhance protocol security and ensure network integrity.
